Organics/Landfill Facility Operator

We have an exciting opportunity for an Organics/Landfill Operator to work at our new organics composting facility. Initially this position will be based at Bowser Landfill, developing skills and experience in landfill operations and once the organics composting facility is operational the role will then be permanently based at the Organics Composting Facility.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the daily operations at the Organics Composting Facility, adhering to EPA Licence conditions and Australian Composting Standards. This will include sorting for contamination, using a shredding machine to refine material and loading organic material from kerbside collections into composting vessels. The position is also responsible for the vessel’s operation, which includes maintaining and monitoring temperature, oxygen and moisture content, as well as turning mature compost as needed.
A front end loader licence is required for this position, as well as experience in heavy machinery operation.
