As part of the Sport, Recreation and Leisure Facilities section, the Leisure Facilities team focus on the delivery of customer centric services and programs that meet the health and wellbeing needs of Campbelltown’s growing population.

About the role:
We are currently seeking a number of Senior Pool Operations Attendants to join the Leisure Facilities section to lead the pool lifeguard and operations team at Councils leisure facilities.
These role's will be responsible for the supervision of the centres swimming pools and surrounding areas, including the day-to-day management of the swimming pool plant and equipment.

The facilities currently include:
  • Eagle Vale Central
  • Macquarie Fields Leisure Centre
  • The Gordon Fetterplace Aquatic Centre
As a Senior Pool Operations Attendant you will be responsible for:
  • Performing lifeguard duties including pool supervision and organising coverage of different pool areas.
  • Water quality management in line with relevant standards.
  • Maintaining the pool plant room, building, equipment and grounds.
  • Ordering of cleaning, pool chemicals and equipment.
  • Audits and inventories on equipment.
  • Provision of regular in-house training to staff on centre based issues.
  • Team motivation by implementing team building activities.
  • Ongoing cleaning of the leisure centre facility and upkeep of grounds maintenance.
  • Provision of reports requested by the Leisure Centre Team Leader.
  • Liaison with staff, customers, Council, user groups, other leisure facilities and suppliers.
  • Promotion and increased customer awareness of programs and services.
  • Provision of quality control on centre policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring staffing levels are met.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:

  • Have demonstrated skills and experience in pool maintenance and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Have previously demonstrated experience in pool supervision.
  • Experience in dealing with contractors and sub-contractors, ensuring work is carried out satisfactorily.
  • The ability to lead and motivate a team as well as the ability to be team minded by developing and meeting team objectives.
  • Hold a current Pool Lifeguard certification or possess a statement of attainment for the Pool Lifeguard course.
  • Possess a current First Aid certificate.
  • Minimum Certificate III in Aquatics (essential within 12 months).

There are multiple positions available within a variety of rosters which include Monday to Sunday shifts.
