Trainee Water & Sewerage Operator

Working within the Water and Sewerage Team, the successful candidate will develop a sound background of water supply and sewerage system operations; specific to the water and wastewater industry.
The primary function of this role will be to undertake maintenance, construction, project development and management to the discrete Aboriginal Communities of Brewarrina, Weilmoringle and Goodooga. This is a 2-year Traineeship in Water Operations Certificate III. Applicants must be of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander descent to be eligible to apply.
To be successful in this Trainee position you must:
- Be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent
- Have a Class C driver’s license
- Basic knowledge of WH&S principles
- Demonstrate an ability to keep accurate records and
- Ability to work in a team environment
Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2017 and this position is currently classified as Band 1, T4 - 6 with a range of $18.06 - $22.32 p/hr (Rate is dependent on qualifications and experience).
