COMMUNITY LIAISON OFFICER

(FULL Time – 3 year position)



The Shire of Brookton is looking for a passionate and dedicated person to play an essential role in influencing the way Council operates within and for the community. We do this by facilitating and liaising with the community to find opportunities for the community to be empowered, connected and active in the Shire.


To be successful in the roles, you will need to have (at a minimum):

  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to listen, empathise and interact well with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Proven experience in planning, facilitating and delivering initiatives in partnership with the community that respond to identified community priorities and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated high level of written communication skills with the ability to present, prepare reports, policies, strategies, grants and correspondence.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining strong professional relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • A high degree of autonomy and ability in managing several priorities at any one time.
