This role drives the business improvement, infrastructure systems support, and information communication technology (ICT) program governance teams to support RoadTek and Infrastructure Management and Delivery (IMD) division.

• Manage the RoadTek business improvement process and function to:

o Improve business performance through implementation and enhancement operational systems;

o Identify, develop and manage business improvement initiatives using project management principles and methodologies;

o Drive organisational change initiatives so that they are successfully embedded within the organisation;

o Ensure high standards of project and program management and governance.

• Manage the RoadTek infrastructure systems support function to ensure ICT systems are:

o Maintained and operating to meet business needs;

o Managed in accordance with departmental, operational and contract requirements;

o Monitored to ensure accessibility, availability and correct use;

o Supported by strong and effective vendor management;

o Supported through effective user training, guidance and support.

• Manage the IMD ICT Program office:

o In accordance with departmental and Queensland Government Chief Information Office requirements for project and program management and governance;

o To provide advice, guidance and support to divisional ICT projects, project managers and project executives;

o To provide advice to IMD ICT Program Board members and the Senior Responsible Officer on ICT project risks, issues, and opportunities.

• Enhance RoadTek's image and reputation through participation in internal forums, continuous improvement strategies and knowledge management.

• Establish and manage relational alliances with departmental corporate service providers to maximise effectiveness and efficiency by aligning resources to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

• Provide input into the development and continuous improvements of business plans, budgets and performance measures for the Operational Systems and Processes and Business Improvement teams.

• Lead, manage, supervise, appraise and monitor the performance of staff and provide fair treatment and development where necessary to ensure operational effectiveness is maintained.

• Act in accordance with the Queensland Public Service legislative framework and Code of Conduct. Models ethical behaviour and consistently applies those ethical standards to self and others.

• Commitment to Transport and Main Roads' Workplace Health & Safety Policy of achieving a Zero Harm workplace.

Desirable requirements:

• Qualifications in project and/or program management (e.g. PRINCE2, Managing Successful Programs).

• Proven experience working with the Queensland Government ICT program and project assurance framework.
