Information Technology Business Systems Analyst
- Temporary Full-time (2 year fixed contract)

Maribyrnong City Council is undergoing significant change in population growth, redevelopment, and a transitioning economy is leading to an influx of new residents, businesses and opportunities. Maribyrnong is becoming a sought after residential area and a destination for foodies.
Our Information Technology Services Department is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join the team. As a valuable member of the team, you will report to the Coordinator IT Services. The primary purpose of this role is to partner with the business and provide the bridge between the businesses technology aspirations and the development of requirements and scope for priority technology projects.
This role will encompass a wide variety of business analyst work, from identifying and management of business benefits of projects, requirements/scope development and management, defining strategies, validating and justifying business needs, through to helping with organisational change aspects, to technology project implementation.
Working in a collaborative environment, the IT Business Systems Analyst will assist in facilitating smooth and supported processes in an environment that drives a culture of continuous improvement.
You will have great attention to detail, experience in requirements elicitation, documentation and project management, with strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with a variety of people and teams. Extensive experience in and enthusiasm for web technologies, digital trends, innovation and digital delivery is essential.
Previous experience in Local Government and working with large corporate databases will be highly regarded. Join the team at Maribyrnong.
