Maribyrnong City Council is undergoing significant change in population growth, redevelopment, and a transitioning economy is leading to an influx of new residents, businesses and opportunities. Maribyrnong is becoming a sought after residential area and a destination for foodies.

An exciting opportunity exists for an energetic and committed water and environment professional to join Maribyrnong's City Places team as Water Sensitive Urban Design Officer (WSUD). This position is partly funded through the Melbourne Water Living Rivers Program.

The WSUD Officer will provide specialist professional advice relating to Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) and Integrated Water Management (IWM) to staff, developers and the local community to achieve improvements in stormwater treatment and reuse across the municipality.

You will be responsible for preparing water management plans and WSUD guidelines, and for educating and supporting various departments to best integrate WSUD and IWM into the organisation. You will be experienced in planning and delivering WSUD infrastructure, and highly skilled in project management.

The WSUD Officer will join our experienced design team responsible for the urban design, active transport and open space functions of Council. You will work closely with staff across Council to achieve quality results in a fast paced environment.
