The Opportunity

Positioned within the Business Improvement department, this role is pivotal in managing continuous improvement activities, projects and programs across Council, in addition to leading incremental changes to build the organisation’s improvement capability.


Reporting directly to the Manager Business Improvement and supervising the Business Transformation Consultants, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Managing all continuous improvement activities, projects and programs
  • Providing coaching ad mentoring to other business units for continuous improvement activities
  • Maintaining then continuous improvement framework and delivering continuous improvement training to the organisation
  • Actively reporting and promoting the teams activities and results


About You

To be suitable for this position, you will possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Project management, Engineering or similar business or technical disciplines
  • Experience in managing staff with multiple complex projects, in addition to planning and executing organisational wide programs
  • Expert knowledge in project and improvement frameworks and experience
  • Substantial background in Lean and/or Six Sigma
