Work Health & Safety Officer



Bogan Shire Council has a Work Health & Safety Officer position available. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a local leading employer. Bogan Shire Council seeks employees with a willingness to contribute to a team environment and promote customer service excellence.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Director People and Community Services, and work positively within the HR team ensuring Council is providing a safe working environment for everyone. Your contribution to the role will include working with management, employees and contractors, providing practical assistance and professional advice on all health and safety matters.


Other key activities will include developing, implementing and maintaining Council’s Work Health and Safety Management System, ensuring all employees and Councillors are aware of their duties and responsibilities in relation to the Work Health and safety Act 2011, minimising harm in the workplace, taking responsibility for the development and maintenance of WH&S policies, procedures and practices in addition to providing business support to the People and Community Services department.


Conditions

The Work Health & Safety Officer position is a permanent, full-time position.


Hours of work are 35 hours per week, 6.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, depending on operational requirements.

  • Remuneration is between $1,199.52 - $1,339.50 (dependent on qualifications and experience)
