In the role of Senior Advisor (Program Management) you will

• Provide specialist financial, budget and program advice and support to key stakeholders ensuring effective administration of the Marine Infrastructure Investment Program (MIIP).

• Develop, implement, analyse and provide specialist and informed advice to the Minister, executive management, stakeholders and clients on the MIIP.

• Provide significant input into the formulation, evaluation and development of the MIIP.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of program procedures and strategies to ensure the effective and efficient management of the MIIP.

Accountabilities include:

• Provide specialist financial advice and support to key stakeholders ensuring effective administration of a complex infrastructure program.

• Provide ongoing analysis, assessment and reporting of the performance of the recreational MIIP.

• Undertake research and provide policy advice for continuous improvement to the program.

• Lead and coordinate activities that underpin corporate governance arrangements for the program.

• Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure timely management of the MIIP.

• Coordinate, or participate in, the development of briefs, submissions, ministerials and general correspondence relating to boating infrastructure and programming.

• Coordinate and contribute to the planning cycle for program development and delivery.

• Participate in and coordinate training opportunities for key stakeholders for example, workshops, meetings, teleconferencing.

• Provide advice and data on budgets for the capital and maintenance projects in TMR's financial management systems.

• Develop, oversee and implement improved financial processes.

• Monitor, evaluate and provide reports on the performance of the MIIP.

• Liaise with unit staff to ensure correct capitalisation of boating infrastructure projects.

• Actively participate in personal performance planning and appraisal through accepting and providing positive and constructive feedback.

• Undertake training and development necessary to achieve work unit goals and remain aware of corporate responsibilities.

• Travel as required.

• Perform other duties required by the Manager (Boating Infrastructure).

Desirable requirements:

• Program management and knowledge of issues relating to boating infrastructure

• Experience in using 3PCM for program and project management activities.
