Passenger Transport Services; TransLink; Brisbane In the role of Principal Advisor (Policy) you will work in a dynamic team to deliver innovative and strategic policy projects that shape the future of passenger transport services in Queensland. You will work in a rapidly evolving environment and be required to deliver positive outcomes for TransLink Division, often within short timeframes. Job details
Accountabilities include: • Prepare and oversee the development of complex documents and correspondence that provide advice or information to the Queensland Government, other departmental staff, key stakeholders and members of the public as required. This will include developing Cabinet submissions, briefing notes, reports, presentations and strategic policy and research papers as well as correspondence on behalf of the Minister, the Director-General and the Department. • Use strong communication skills to build, maintain and support internal and external relationships to ensure stakeholders are informed of key issues and information. • Undertake specialised research and analysis into investment and regulatory issues within the context of passenger transport services in Queensland and provide expert, evidence based advice to senior management, all levels of government (local, state, and federal), internal / external agencies, industry and the community. • Interpret and apply legislation and associated standards for passenger transport related issues in order to consider these requirements when developing policy and providing advice. • Act as a project leader, direct specific tasks involving the unit and assist in the management of the team in order to support the Manager (Policy) with team management related issues.
