In the role of Senior Advisor, you will provide a timely and accurate research, co-ordination and administrative support service to the Executive Director (Strategic Investment and Asset Management) and Section to assist in the achievement of their responsibilities. You will also provide management and leadership support to the Executive Director in the attainment of the objectives of the Section.

Accountabilities include:
• Liaise closely with officers of the Minister, Director-General, Deputy Director-General and Policy, Planning and Investment Division to ensure a consistent and co-ordinated approach to initiatives and issues impacting on Strategic Investment and Asset Management (SIAM); advise the Executive Director and SIAM Management Team of any concerns, including recommendations for corrective action to achieve objectives.
• Confer with officials from the Federal and other State Government Departments and agencies, management consultants and executive members of organisations on behalf of the Executive Director to progress various matters impacting on Section and Branch operations.
• Research, evaluate and provide advice on Portfolio Investment matters for the Executive Director and the SIAM Management Team.
• Analyse, interpret and disseminate information throughout SIAM Section to ensure that all staff are well-informed of current and emerging issues impacting on the continued effective performance of Portfolio Investment and Programming Branch.
• Schedule and organise meetings and conferences for the Executive Director and the SIAM Management Team.  Attend to the administrative matters arising from these arrangements in an expeditious manner.
• Co-ordinate and prepare briefing papers, submissions, reports and correspondence for the Executive Director and the SIAM Management Team. 
• Monitor compliance across SIAM Section of various financial and administrative policies and procedures, provide the Executive Director with periodic status reports.
This position reports to Executive Director (Strategic Investment and Asset Management).
