This position will see you deliver innovative, strategic, open space planning for the positive benefit of the community. Your ability to collaborate with organisational and community stakeholders will see you on your way towards delivering Open Space and Recreation Strategic Plans, Strategies and Plans of Management Masterplans for recreational needs of the community now and into the future.
You will be working collaboratively with a number of internal areas of Council, developing Strategic Operational documents such as the Active Lifestyle Strategy and Tennis Strategy.
We are looking for a self motivated person with excellent attention to detail who likes being about an about with the community, consulting, and who has current knowledge in sport and recreation trends.
Key activities of this role include:
Prepare and coordinate strategies and master plans to guide the development of open space and streetscapes to achieve congruent and quality landscaping;
Ensure effective and meaningful consultation and liaison occurs with both internal and external stakeholders to determine strategies and projects for Open Space and Recreation are consistent with organisational and community values;
Coordinate and manage consultants to ensure that they are effectively and efficiently employed on strategic projects.
