Senior Leisure Facilities Officer
You will be responsible for the supervision of Council’s leisure facilities contracts and supporting leisure facilities planning, policies and development.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Contract monitoring, supervision and administration of all leisure facilities in the Shire
- Support contract-related issue resolution, both internally and externally
- Develop effective procedures and practices for ongoing development of quality contract documentation and supervision
- In partnership with community sporting and recreations groups, inform capital works and maintenance programs for leisure facilities
- Inform specific capital work scopes based on an understanding of facility needs
- Support relationship management during capital works projects
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure effective review and implementation of Council’s policies, plans and strategies related to the Major Leisure facilities
- Identify funding opportunities and prepare grant applications aligned with leisure facility objectives
- Develop policies, plan and/or other documentation to support the delivery of leisure facility services
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications relevant to contract and business management.
- Significant demonstrated experience in recreation and leisure facilities planning and management
- Highly developed relationship skills
- Demonstrated experience in contract performance management including negotiation skills, budget monitoring and reporting on the progress of managed projects.
- Sound administrative and financial management skills
- Sound knowledge of the leisure facilities industry
- Highly developed communication, report writing and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the operation of Windows based software packages
- A current Victorian driver’s licence.
