An exciting opportunity exists for a five (5) year fixed term full time Manager Galilee & Bowen Basin Operations to join Isaac Regional Council's Engineering & Infrastructure (E&I) Directorate, based in the Isaac Region.
Reporting to the Director E&I, this position is responsible to provide high level contract management and project management services in the interests of Council roads, drainage and gravel pit assets. Further, the Manager Galilee and Bowen Basin Operations is responsible for the efficient and effective negotiation, production, implementation and management of infrastructure, maintenance and compensation agreements in place with external parties in the Galilee and Bowen Basins to preserve and protect the integrity and service level of Council roads, drainage and associated assets.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 10 years demonstrated experience in a similar role, managing rural road maintenance and construction
- Proven experience in providing leadership and technical, operational and management advice
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of infrastructure, maintenance, and compensation agreements
- Previous experience in Contract Management ensuring contractual obligations are achieved and performance requirements met.
- Solid understanding of key legislation and associated regulations relevant to roads, drainage and quarry operations.
- Degree qualifications in an Engineering discipline
- RPEQ Accreditation (desirable)
For this position we offer:

- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading;
- 12% super (in accordance with policy).
