An exciting opportunity exists for a two (2) year fixed term full time Capital & Project Program Manager to join Isaac Regional Council's Planning, Environment & Community Services (PECS) Directorate, based in the Isaac Region. Reporting to the Director PECS, this position is critically responsible for leading and delivering the creation of value from the community facilities Council operates directly itself, those it leases to commercial operators and those it makes available to community organisations by way of leases or other tenures, across the Isaac Region.  The role is integral in leading the development, facilitation, reporting and all aspects of the delivery of built environment projects of a range of complexities from start to finish for the PECS Directorates differing departments but primarily noting the Community Facilities Department to drive the best long term performance, community service and value from the Region’s 10 Aquatic Facilities, 18 Halls/Centres, and portfolio of properties including Child Care Facilities which are leased to Community organisations. The PECS Noble Purpose of Building Communities through trusted customer service and creating value is the central driver for this role.


To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Trade related qualifications or tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Facility & or Asset Management, or a relevant field coupled with significant experience (3-5 years) in a similar leadership & delivery role

  • Demonstrated engaged leadership skills with the ability to resource, supervise and lead teams with a highly evolved emotional intelligence

  • Demonstrated high level of written and interpersonal, collaborative and facilitative skills with proven ability to communicate, negotiate, investigate and consult at appropriate levels within the community, government and private sectors;

  • Highly developed analytical, problem solving and investigative skills to provide sound advice, options and recommendations, to influence project outcomes.

  • Attractive remuneration package, inclusive of accommodation and limited private-use vehicle;

  • 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading;

  • 12% super (in accordance with policy).
