Triage & Inspections Officer
Council’s Reactive Maintenance Team, who oversee reactive facility maintenance and service contracts across the municipality, is currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced person to fill the position of Triage & Inspections Officer – R1781. This fast paced, highly rewarding and varied role is a great opportunity for someone to support the Reactive Maintenance activities of Council.
Position Objectives
The officer will be responsible for:
- Supporting Council’s Building Asset strategies by providing effective and efficient predictive and reactive maintenance works services including planning, programing, forecasting, estimates and compliance with procurement policies and community engagement
- Support the delivery, monitoring and reporting of Council’s building reactive works through implementation of Facility management principles and effective contract management.
- Schedule reactive works, predictive works, operational services and utility contracts through a selection of service providers to insure Council’s facilities provide continuity of services to the Community.
Qualifications and Experience
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
- Certificate 4 qualification in building, project management or construction related discipline or demonstrated significant and relevant facility management, real estate, and service or operations experience.
- Extensive contract and building maintenance experience in Facility Services or Real Estate
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills including works scheduling software, MS Office suite, records management and financial systems
- High level customer service skills and experience
- Experience in working to timeframes and reporting requirements
- Experience in working in an environment where quality and attention to detail are required.
- Current drivers licence
Salary and Conditions
The position is classified within Band 5 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $66,989.52 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
