An exciting opportunity is waiting for you in Port Macquarie, one of Australia’s fastest growing regional cities and best places to live.


Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional with experience in the delivery of development contributions planning, and the ability to implement planning for key growth precincts, including the new Health and Education Precinct in Port Macquarie.


Guided by Council’s new Urban Growth Management Strategy, you will lead a small team of experienced planners in the review and implementation of contributions plans, including plans for coordinated infrastructure to urban release areas. You will also will play a key role in the negotiation of planning agreements for Council.


To succeed in this role, you shall require relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience, excellent communication skills and a demonstrated capacity to work as part of a team of professionals. You will have an interest in the mechanics of contributions planning and a clear perspective on the NSW planning system.


Salary Package & Benefits

In return for your dedication, Council shall offer an attractive salary of up to $110,883 p.a. plus a range of vehicle options and 9.5% superannuation. In addition, you shall enjoy a 35 hour week, worked in accordance with Council’s Flexible Working Hours policy.
