Maribyrnong City Council is undergoing significant change in population growth, redevelopment, and a transitioning economy is leading to an influx of new residents, businesses and opportunities. Maribyrnong is becoming a sought after residential area and a destination for foodies.
Our Community Development, Positive Ageing and Inclusion Department is seeking an Inclusion Officer to join the Diversity and Inclusion team to support and facilitate diverse communities, implement programs and activities which respond to Council's commitments to the Intercultural Cities Strategy and our LGBTIQA+ Action Plan.
Develop and manage partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve identified outcomes; Intercultural Cities program and LGBTIQA+ activities.
You will have tertiary qualifications in Community Development or substantial relevant experience in a similar role. Your experience in working with people from diverse backgrounds and commitment to the principals of social justice are highly desirable.
