The Role

The Senior Community Engagements Officer is the Town’s key liaison point with major businesses and government. The role will be pivotal in developing partnership and grant funding applications for our new capital projects, events and community programs. The ideal candidate will understand contemporary social investment practices, corporate social responsibility principles and have experience in community partnership programs. The ability to write successful grant applications and business cases for government is necessary to the success of the position.


Candidates will have qualifications and experience in business, public affairs, community development or similar. Our ideal candidate must be comfortable dealing with senior executives from major companies as well as government. Exposure to social investment practices in the resources sector would be highly regarded. 


Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business, marketing, communications, community engagement or another related field
  • Extensive experience in either corporate sponsorship management, community investment in a major company or government grants management
  • National Police Clearance
  • Current ‘C’ class drivers licence
