Council is seeking applications to fill the Part Time position of Governance Administration Officer. 
Applications will be received until Friday, 26 April 2019. Late applications may not be considered.


The Position

Council is seeking the services of a person to fill the position of Governance Administration Officer. The successful applicant will be required to provide assistance in the daily functions of the Office of Chief Executive Officer and Mayor and Councillors by providing high level, efficient, professional and confidential administrative support to facilitate the achievement of Councils strategic direction and operations.


This position will be part time, with ordinary hours being 8.45am to 1.00pm every Tuesday, Wednesday and 
Thursday.


Qualifications and Experience

The successful applicant is expected to have demonstrated experience in administration and providing support to an executive management position. Applicants are required to have excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills, and high level organisation and time management skills.


Demonstrated experience in the operation of Microsoft Office is essential. The successful applicant is 
expected to have or be working towards a Certificate III in Business Administration or similar filed and hold a current drivers licence (C class).


Salary and Conditions

The position is classified as a Level 2 of the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream A) Award – State 2017 and offers an annual cash annual wage of $20,361.75 to $21,904.17 inclusive of all allowances and leave loading. This position will receive a pro rata 5 weeks annual leave including leave loading of 17.5%, 15 days sick leave, salary sacrifice options, ongoing training and professional development and superannuation of up to 12% of salary is also available upon commencement.
