Situated in Melbourne’s leafy north, the City of Whittlesea is home to around 200,000 residents. This is a newly created position – a key leadership role, with three direct reports and a total staff of just under 50 people. You will report to the Director Partnerships, Planning and Engagement and take responsibility for helping Council achieve its mission of providing an optimum experience for its ratepayers and stakeholders. You will also ensure that Council provides optimum internal and external communication, delivering its messages with clarity and impact. In addition, you will oversee a team which advocates to other levels of Government to ensure collaboration and support for a range of initiatives to benefit the community.
You are an experienced and capable people leader with a capacity to operate truly strategically. You are committed to best practice and take a progressive view of customer experience, including the use of contemporary technology. You have a passion for making a genuine contribution to local communities and have the energy and enthusiasm to manage a large agenda cohesively.
