Executive Manager Corporate Services
The Shire of Exmouth is located 1270km north of Perth, on the tip of the North West Cape in Western Australia. Exmouth is one the few areas in Australia that can boast range to reef experience, featuring the Cape Range National Park and the world-heritage listed Ningaloo Marine Park. Included within the Shire’s boundaries are the Harold E Holt Naval Communication Station and the Learmonth Solar Observatory.
Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the Executive team, you will be responsible for the management of the Council’s financial services including budget, audit and resources. You will ensure compliance with established accounting standards and government legislation; provide Council with professional assistance, reports and advice; and lead continuous improvement practices within the Corporate Services Directorate. You will also oversee all administration within the Shire, including governance matters, IT, insurance, property and leasing, records management and statutory returns.
To ensure success in this role, you will be tertiary qualified in accounting, business and commerce, ideally with CPA or CA membership. With senior financial management experience in complex commercial or public sector organisations, you will be outcomes-focused, strategically minded and have the ability to mentor and provide effective leadership to a diverse team. With strong stakeholder relationship skills, you will be committed to providing outstanding service to internal and external clients.
An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate. The total package will approximate $200,000 and will include a base salary of $120,000 plus superannuation, executive accommodation with utilities, motor vehicle, travel allowance, and other benefits.
