Community Employment Team Leader
Council’s Community Futures Branch is seeking an enthusiastic person to fill the position of Community Employment Team Leader – R1770.
Position Objectives
The officer will be responsible for:
- Facilitation and delivery of the Mildura Rural City Council Community Employment Program (Jobs Victoria Employment Network) in accordance with program funding agreement/s and milestones, applicable legislation and Council policy and procedures.
- Monitoring and implementing a program structure that supports the program outcomes for job seekers, their families and support networks.
- Brokering working relationships and linkages with a wide range of key stakeholders, including potential employers, industry representatives, local services agencies, community leaders and other government departments.
- Facilitation of the Program Steering Committee to work collaboratively to achieve program outcomes and milestones that have been set out by funding body.
- Ensuring all services are culturally appropriate, accessible and based on the needs of the primary target groups.
Qualifications and Experience
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in employment services delivery or a related field.
- Experience in the coordination, planning and delivery of externally funded program/s within budget.
Salary and Conditions
The position is classified within Band 6 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $81,023.80 per annum plus statutory superannuation.

Additionally, applicants may also be required to undergo a National Criminal History check and/or medical check as per the requirements of the role.
