Executive Assistant to the Director
Council currently has the requirement for two Executive Assistants within their Tumut and Tumbarumba Offices. One position is Permenant Full time reporting to the Director Strategy, Community and Development and the other is a Temporary 12 months full time reporting to the Director Assets & Infrastructure and to also provide administrative support to the Internal Services Directorate.
The primary focus for the successful applicant will be to:
- Provide executive assistance to the Director.
- Provide administration support to the Director and act as minute taker at meetings as directed.
- Coordinate and facilitate communications from the Director.
- Act as minute taker at Council’s Ordinary and Confidential Meetings as required
- Prepare reports for Council as directed.
- Research and prepare draft correspondence and reports as directed.
- Coordinate, prioritise and monitor correspondence and reports and identify matters that require immediate action.
- Respond to requests for assistance with training, meetings and travel arrangements.
- Respond promptly to telephone calls and, where appropriate, handle inquiries and problems towards a satisfactory resolution.
- Monitor and coordinate meetings and appointments and maintain Directors diary.
- Manage confidential records and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties requested by the Director

Salary offered is in accordance with the Snowy Valleys Council salary system of Grade 5, ranging from $2,106.10 - $2,370.40 per fortnight (gross), dependent on skills, experience and qualifications held.
