You will be responsible for undertaking general facility maintenance associated with the interior and exterior of the Cummins Hospital. Your duties may include rubbish collection, carpentry, painting, plumbing, mechanical and grounds maintenance. You will undertake general facility maintenance (not to trade standard) including painting and minor repairs to buildings, minor maintenance to buildings, fences, grounds, contents and equipment, as well as assisting with higher level work. As well as maintenance duties, you will undertake cleaning of outside areas, including rubbish collection and removal. Helping with the relocation and alteration of equipment, fixtures and furniture associated with the health service, you may also provide assistance and guidance to other employees through on the job training. With proven experience in building and ground maintenance, you will bring the ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools. You will work well with minimum supervision utilising your initiative and judgement to ensure the timely completion of tasks and activities as directed, including adhering to instructions, established practices and guidelines. You will have a sound understanding of the Occupational Health Safety & Welfare acts relevant to maintenance, and be willing to work as a cooperative team member.
