The Administrative Officer provides an efficient and effective administrative support service to the Hospital Coordinators of the Nursing Midwifery and Patient Services Division by undertaking reception functions and providing a first point of call for all Nursing/ Midwifery staff, wards/units, Nurse Managers, general public, external Nursing Agencies and Medical Students. The role responsibilities include providing an efficient customer service over the counter, by telephone or letter and strictly adhering to the confidentiality of all information concerning patients and hospital personnel. The successful applicant will have the ability to apply sound knowledge of office procedures, manage a variable workload and work under pressure to provide an effective administrative support service. This is a casual vacancy and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked. Applicants must have proven experience in basic computing skills, including email, word processing and spreadsheet packages which results in the production of high quality keyboard work. You must also have a high level of personal organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
