About the role 

Working within a dynamic multidisciplinary team across a variety of hospital and community settings, you will provide generalist  physiotherapy, and outpatient or inpatient physiotherapy services for country hospitals within the community for the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Region.

Mt Barker, Southern Fleurieu (Victor Harbor) and Gawler are the primary base sites. You may be required to assist with pre-operative assessment and post-operative care, as well as assisting with Women’s Health.

There is also the opportunity to work with Paediatric community clients if skilled in this area.

Responding to priority referrals based on the Clinical Access Framework, you will implement a combination of preventative, early intervention, treatment/therapy and evaluation approaches.

If appointed at the AHP2 level, you will work under reduced clinical direction and may contribute to the clinical supervision of less experienced allied health professionals, allied health assistants and students.

This is a great opportunity to gain a broad range of clinical practise experience, with structured peer support and clinical supervision in place. You will be working within easy reach of the Adelaide CBD in the beautiful Barossa, Hills and Fleurieu Region.

About you

You must hold a recognised qualification within the Physiotherapy profession, and be eligible for practicing membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

Demonstrating sound generalist physiotherapy skills, you will be capable of implementing evidence based practice and procedures in the design of client care plans.

If appointed at the AHP2 level, you will be capable of providing leadership and supporting others in developing workload management plans, including in the allocation of team resources.

You will be committed to applying primary health care and community participation principles to ensure physiotherapy services are responsive to changing community needs and improve health outcomes.
