1 x Permanent Full Time - 35 hours, 5 days per week

An exciting opportunity has become available for a suitably qualified, experienced and motivated person to lead the Development Assessment team during a time of growth and change. The Coordinator will support the Manager Development Assessment in ensuring the delivery of Council’s objectives in the assessment and determination of development applications and associated responsibilities. 


The primary purposes of this position is to lead, manage and support the development assessment staff in the assessment, monitoring and reporting of development applications to achieve sustainable, balanced, consistent and timely outcomes which reflect the vision and expectations of Council and the local community.


A suitable candidate will also be expected to:

  • Determine work priorities of the team
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge, proficiency and industry currency in the interpretation and application of relevant legislation, planning instruments and state and Council policy to ensure the achievement of high quality, consistent and sustainable planning outcomes
  • Prepare, review and determine reports and notes on development applications and other matters relating to development to achieve consistently high quality documents
