About the role: 

 

The Business Improvement Branch is looking for an experienced candidate to be part of their team.

 

Reporting to the Business (Continuous) Improvement Manager, this role will see you leading business improvement projects, including feasibility studies and the development of business cases, to implement high impact, corporate wide business improvement projects whilst ensuring they deliver tangible and sustainable benefits to the Corporation.

 

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Lead business improvement opportunities from high level concept through to business case sign off and implementation
  • Create and develop project plans and provide leadership to project teams across multiple business areas
  • Manage project budgets, including both opex and capex
  • Utilise contemporary and robust business improvement approaches (e.g. DMAIC, DFSS etc.) to design and deliver improvements (people, process & systems)
  • Provide expertise on change management by using effective change management techniques to ensure stakeholders impacted by the change have been engaged and buy in to the improvements
  • Facilitate workshops & problem solve with cross functional teams so that a broad range of opinions & options are considered
  • Source and analyse large amounts of complex data
  • Train, develop & coach workforce in Lean Six Sigma concepts/methodology  

 

The successful candidate:

 

You will hold a tertiary qualification in business, commerce or related discipline and will have a demonstrated ability to lead and deliver business efficiency and effectiveness projects impacting on people, process and technology.  You will also be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of contemporary business improvement methodologies and principles, Lean Six Sigma Black/ Green Belt Certification with greater than 7 years of industry experience is essential for this role along with excellent knowledge of project, Stakeholder and change management methodologies.

 

You will also have significant experience implementing business improvement projects in a medium to large organisation.  You will be proactive and positive with a forward-thinking working style, as well as being adept at problem solving and stakeholder management. Together with the above knowledge and skills you will have the focus and the ability to measure and deliver tangible, sustainable business benefits.
