Business Improvement Coordinator

The Position:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, experienced and qualified candidate to join the Shire of Broome in the role of Business Improvement Coordinator This position will report to the Director Corporate Services.

The Business Improvement Coordinator is responsible for facilitating business improvement initiatives that maximise the Shire’s service delivery outcomes through the redesign, simplification and standardisation of business processes. The role is required to work with various areas of the business to ensure the alignment of processes to strategic, business and service objectives. The Business Improvement Coordinator will work with senior management to actively promote a culture of continuous service improvement and innovation throughout the organisation.

The Person We Seek:

The preferred candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Business, Change Management or Process/Systems Management; or another relevant discipline or equivalent experience. Highly developed communication skills both written and verbal, extensive experience in information systems and technology, in particular the use of Business Process Management Systems and Microsoft Office, highly developed time management skills with proven expertise in facilitating business analysis and delivering tangible improvements across multiple service areas are all essential to successfully perform this role.

Previous Local Government experience or experience working across a large organisation in a similar or equivalent environment would be also be highly regarded.
