MANAGER DEVELOPMENT SERVICES



An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Manager with relevant qualifications and experience to join our Senior Management team and lead our Development Services Department.


Situated in the Great Southern and only 50km from Albany and Denmark, the Shire of Plantagenet is a prosperous rural district which offers an enviable lifestyle among wineries and national parks.  The position is situated in Mount Barker, Plantagenet’s administrative hub, surrounded by picturesque landscapes and growth industries.


The successful applicant will work closely with the CEO and Council to promote and manage development occurring within the Shire of Plantagenet.  The Manager Development Services administers various statutory functions of the Local Government in the fields of environmental health and safety, building and town planning.  The right person for this position will be able to effectively and efficiently manage the functions of Development Services within Council budget, supervise staff, as well as manage service planning and provision according to local needs and the Shire of Plantagenet Strategic Community Plan 2017 to 2026.


The position is offered on a 3 year performance based contract with an attractive remuneration package up to $128,420 per annum, including a base salary of up to $100,000 per annum, transport allowance, mobile phone for business and personal use and up to 14.5% superannuation.
