In the role of Contracts Officer, you will be managing a variety of contracts with Transport Regulation Branch business partners, reporting directly to the Senior Contracts Advisor. 
You will require knowledge of both ICT and Goods and Services contracts. 

You will assist other team members to successfully interpret ICT and General Goods and Services contract terms, ensuring that all parties’ obligations are met through the implementation of contract administration principles. 

You will contribute to the development of tender and contract templates for ICT and General Goods and Services contracts and assist with the development of contract negotiations, variations and monitoring supplier performance.

Accountabilities include:

• Contract creation: Contribute to the development of clear and concise contractual documentation for medium to high risk contracts.

• Negotiation: Engage in successful negotiations as part of a team consulting with legal, financial and procurement parties as required.

• Risk Management: Provide advice of key risks at a contract level for ICT and General Goods and Services arrangements. Build relationships with appropriate technical specialists, to monitor contract risks on an ongoing basis. 

• Financial and accounting: Understand Whole of Life costing techniques and ways to analyse the Total cost of ownership.

• Performance and Relationship Management: Work closely with suppliers to develop and implement performance management regimes. Meet with suppliers to monitor and manage performance, including dispute resolution. 

• Legislative, Probity and Ethics: Demonstrate an understanding of public procurement probity, ethical processes and codes of practice.

This role reports to the Senior Contracts Advisor.
