Aboriginal Victoria is looking to appoint an engaging and passionate Aboriginal Community Development Broker (Broker) for the Bendigo and North West District region of Victoria.

The role of a Broker is to engage with the local Aboriginal community to build on the existing Local Aboriginal Networks (LANs). The role of the Broker is to facilitate LAN operations, broker partnerships between LANs and local stakeholders and are also responsible for leading and facilitating the ongoing development and implementation of the LANs' community plans, in alignment with the Victorian LANs Five Year Plan 2016 - 2020 (state wide plan).

The Broker role engages with the local Aboriginal community, organisations, local government, and partners, to respond to community needs, implement initiatives and projects, and facilitate practical solutions to drive the LAN's Community Plans and in alignment with the Five Year Plan and six priority areas. With a team of more than 12 Brokers throughout the state, you will meet, share and collaborate together through quarterly state-wide meetings whilst fostering growth in LAN participation. There are currently 39 LANs operating across the State with over 2,300 Aboriginal Victorians regularly participating.

The closing date for this position is Sunday 23rd September 2018.
