Located in the northern rivers area of NSW, Rous County Council is a special-purpose local government organisation that delivers bulk water and provides flood mitigation and weed biosecurity services. 

The position

To provide first level support services to internal stakeholders and to assist with the helpdesk ticketing system; configuration and troubleshooting of various equipment and printers and to provide general assistance to the IT team in the completion of key projects, day to day tasks, administration and documentation. 

NOTE: This position will require the successful applicant being included on an on-call roster for after-hours duties, or as otherwise directed.

Qualifications and experience

The role requires highly developed customer service skills in addition to experience in the support and/or administration of a Microsoft based network operating system.  

The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.  

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and problem solving skills are also essential.

You must also be committed to promoting Council’s Values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability and Respect.

Conditions of employment

Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government State Award 2017. Salary range $58,198.40 - $68,083.60 per annum based on skills and experience plus statutory superannuation (9.5%) and generous working conditions including a 70 hour, nine-day fortnight.  A satisfactory health assessment, including drug screening is a pre-requisite to an offer of employment.
