About the Opportunity

Job Share - Part-time 2 year term

Based at Council's Administration Centre you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the learning and professional development activities of Council's workforce. This will enable a skilled and well-development workforce to assist Council to meet its organisational and community objectives, ensuring sustainability and succession planning into the future.

It also has responsibility to coordinate and facilitate the council's Capability Framework and WHS Management System, covering areas such as Onboarding, Position Learning Plans, Compliance and legal requirements and risk based training. 

This role assists in the recruitment, coordination and support of educational programs continuing council's history of developing it's workforce, supporting Traineeships, Work Experience, Cadetships and staff wishing to undergo further studies to progress their careers. 

To be successful in this position you will need to have:

  • TAFE Certification IV in Training and Assessment OR equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Current and maintained NSW Drivers Licence
  • Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years work experience in a similar role
  • Advanced computer skills and demonstrated ability in the use of a range of computer software
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a tactful, professional, courteous and efficient manner
  • Demonstrated commitment to WHS and EEO principles

Other details relating to this position are:

  • 17.25 hour working week as part of job share arrangement
  • The annual salary range is from $ 28,680 to $32,985 for a 17.25 hour week (dependent on skills and experience)
  • Employer Superannuation (SGC) of 9.5% applies
  • Employment is under the Local Government (State) Award 2017
  • You must provide a Working With Children Check number (or Application no:) and DOB for verification 
  • You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this job
