Primary Objective

The Project Investment Delivery (PID) Manager provides high level executive coordination, research and analysis of current and future programs, assists the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) in the monitoring of the investment programs in accordance with Investment Review Committee and Board directions through whole of Corporation portfolio reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities

1.        Provide coordination, research, advice, analysis and high level executive assistance to the Program Control Committee, Program Steering Committees and the Investment Review Committee, to ensure that the delivery of programs/ projects of the Corporation meet the strategic core business objectives laid down in the Statement of Corporate Intent.

2.        Provide leadership and resource management for the achievement of the Corporation’s objectives for compilation and management of the current and future programs/ projects to ensure that the Corporation is responsive to directions from the Investment Review Committee.

3.        Monitor project/ program investments in line with the Project Investment Delivery Framework, including cashflow management, project variations and provide status reporting and feedback to the Program Steering Committees and the Investment Review Committee, to ensure that all program/ project issues have been addressed in a comprehensive and timely manner.

4.        Develop and maintain effective strategic relationships and alliances with key stakeholders to ensure operational and strategic outcomes are delivered.

5.        Carry out duties in accordance with Power and Water's safety, environmental and quality policy, safety principles, corporate values and strategies.

Selection criteria – Essential

1.        Scientific or Engineering degree recognised for Professional Membership with Engineer Australia.

2.        Proven ability in developing processes and procedures to deliver strategic business outcomes.

3.        Extensive knowledge of project management standards and their application with demonstrated experience in managing a project team to deliver and implement projects successfully.

4.        Excellent stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain productive professional relationships with a range of stakeholders to achieve objectives.

5.        Demonstrated ability in coordination and monitoring of program/ project investments including high level reporting to stakeholders on program/ project performance.

 

Selection criteria – Desirable

1.        Experience in a utilities industry and a knowledge of assets similar to those of the Corporation.

2.        Practical experience in using computerised financial management and asset management systems.

3.        Project Management accreditation
