About the role:

 

In this role you will be part of a team responsible for improving operational take up of data governance, working with  stakeholders to improve data governance maturity, data integrity and data integration across our complex information ecosystem .

You will provide leadership and support in the data stewardship function promoting understanding of data quality concepts, methods and implementation of data management practices - improving information integration, availability, accessibility and reliability, assisting with data profiling, analysis and improvements to current data models and business processes.

 

What the role requires:

  • Support  data governance practices in a Data Lake environment using Data Quality, Master Data Management and integration tools, enforcing data architecture, definitions and standards  
  • Support logical and physical model design, normalisation, source-to-target mapping, use-cases, identifying data subject areas, entities, attributes, relationships, information types and domains.
  • Workshop facilitation and advanced analysis of business information needs/problems across function, systems and processes to quickly assess data impacts, establish root cause, solution options, and support improvement
  • Data mining  access and analysis of enterprise information  to understand data issues, identify patterns and  trends, develop and maintain metrics for improvement, undertake profiling, cleansing and transformation
  • Development of materials to support data governance practices across the business and projects environment

 

Key skills and experience:

  • Degree level qualification in Information Management or Information Technology
  • Demonstrated experience  within an Asset Infrastructure environment in a Utilities / Resourcesindustry 
  • Experience implementing industry leading Data Quality and MDM programs,  in a Data Lake  or Warehouse environment
  • Strong data management and data integration experience, across ERP, Spatial  and  OT platforms  
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to understand business and technical functions, process information and  data implications
  • Data mining, Data Modelling, Data Analysis, Process Modelling
