About the Role

Operating from within the Community Department you will manage the Community Activation function across the Western Downs Region. The role is responsible for the delivery of collaborative support and participation in local events, and community connectivity initiatives across the region.

Experience & Duties

Your duties will include, but aren't limited to:

  • Empower and activate our communities through local event delivery and community group event support;
  • Identify value-add opportunities and encourage cross collaborative planning to enhance local events and initiatives;
  • Boost social connectivity across our regions through better engagement and community relations;
  • Build community capacity to foster pride and local leadership that allows communities to take responsibility for their own development and future sustainability;
  • Build effective and collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally to achieve results;
  • Inspire and sustain team cohesion and engagement to facilitate the achievement of business objectives
