About us

Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV) is the states consumer regulator which ensures a fair and competitive marketplace.

The Strategy and Governance branch within CAV, drives the design and implementation of CAV's strategic direction, and ensures delivery of the operational and transformation agenda in an integrated and efficient way.

About the role

As the Manager, Transformation and HR Strategy, you will lead with critical expertise both within the branch, and for the organisation. In the role, you will provide the organisational design and strategic human resource linkages to ensure that CAV's business is appropriately set up and supported to deliver on the outcomes of its Strategic Plan. As a trusted advisor to executives and senior management, you will ensure that CAV's on-going journey towards achieving regulatory excellence is reflected in the way it plans for and supports its people during the transformation.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • highly developed knowledge and experience of Organisational Development and Design practices, industry best practice and an understanding of human resources practice in the public sector
  • proven ability to adopt an innovative and proactive approach to leading HR-related stream of change projects
  • demonstrated experience in providing organisational and strategic solutions within a functional area
  • strong influence and negotiation skills to drive appropriate cultural, behavioural and performance change.
