The Country Fire Authority (CFA) is one of the world's largest, and most highly regarded community based emergency services organisations. We respond to fire and other emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whilst our firefighters are the cornerstone of CFA services, what goes on behind the scenes is just as important in helping to protect lives and property.

The Enterprise Risk Advisor will be responsible for supporting the Director Enterprise Risk in the implementation and delivery of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework across CFA.

The position will be required to provide support and guidance to the business on the identification and management of risks, support the quarterly risk reporting processes, support the development and maintenance of risk registers and support the development and implementation of the CFA Risk Champions network.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline e.g. Business, Commerce, Finance, Law. Have, or be undergoing, further training in the principles and practices of Risk Management. Appropriate professional qualifications or membership of industry professional associations are desirable.
  • Experience and proven record operating successfully within a risk management function in either a public or private sector organisation.
  • Experience leading and facilitating risk management workshops and meetings with a range of audiences (or similar), and developing and delivering risk management training (or similar).
  • A sound knowledge of risk management theory and practice, specifically ISO 31000 and the Victorian Government Risk Management Framework.
