Business Performance Analyst

Council is offering a fantastic opportunity for a passionate, dynamic and experienced Business Performance Analyst to implement frameworks, dashboards and deliver on projects in order to improve business performance across the organisation, as well as coordinate and deliver on the legislated corporate planning and reporting activities for the Council.  With a focus on improving organisational performance, we are seeking candidates with strong leadership, project management, and relevant technical skills to deliver on these activities and projects.

The successful candidate will collaborate and work across the business to:

  • Coordinate activities and initiatives that focus on improving alignment between strategy, policy, planning and performance
  • Develop and coordinate organisational (both internally and externally facing) performance dashboards and indicators
  • Undertake related project work that will strengthen business performance, business intelligence and corporate reporting
  • Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of various legislated planning and reporting activities including the Local Governance Performance Reporting Framework (LGPRF), Council Plan development and quarterly reporting, and Annual Operational Plan development
  • Coordinate and project manage the production of the Annual Report.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in a related discipline
  • Experience and proven technical skills in a similar role, as well as demonstrated project management experience
  • A proven ability to utilise information systems as an effective planning and reporting tool to deliver improved consistency and quality
  • Demonstrated experience in performance analysis, benchmarking, KPI frameworks, broad financial drivers, as well as data utilisation skills to inform business actions, planning and improvement
  • High level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear written documentation in a variety of formats
  • Ability to build positive relationships, to gain cooperation and assistance from staff across the organisation to ensure achievement of desired outcomes.

This is a permanent, full-time position with a Band 7 salary + superannuation and the option of a monthly RDO.  This position is based at Council's Civic Centre in Greensborough.
