Administration Support Officer


Council’s recently established Organisational Performance department is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Administration Support Officer to assist in delivering the department’s administration and business support functions, and support the implementation of key organisational projects and activities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing department-wide administrative support to the Executive Manager and department staff across the business performance, corporate planning and reporting, insurance, risk, business continuity and continuous improvement functions of the Organisational Performance department 
  • Administering Council’s corporate planning, performance and reporting systems (and supporting software) through data collation, data entry, report production, system maintenance, and providing support to users/suppliers to assist with the collation of data and information
  • Contributing to the ongoing operational efficiencies of the department through the provision of internal communications, customer service and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Contributing to organisation-wide administration and business support functions, including undertaking reporting and data collation activities as required.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A certificate in office administration or similar, and/or previous experience in office administration and customer service
  • Proven ability to produce timely and accurate information within defined timelines and manage conflicting deadlines to agreed service standards
  • Excellent communication skills including listening, verbal, written, spelling and grammar
  • Good problem solving skills in relation to administration functions, and the ability to quickly understand and implement new ideas, concepts and processes
  • Highly developed time and organisational skills, and demonstrated ability to work independently, with initiative and effectively as part of a team
  • A commitment to quality control and continuous improvement.

This is a permanent part-time (0.6 EFT) Band 4 position and is based at Council's Civic Centre in Greensborough.
