About the role

As a part of the administrative team for NRM, you will be involved with the maintenance and repairs that are happening in the communities we support, both reactive and planned. Our Repairs and Maintenance area handles all public housing maintenance in the communities we support, and can include the repairs on other community facilities, too.

Your key duties will include:

  • Overseeing process maintenance requirements
  • Coordinating and assisting in the leadership of the maintenance administrative team
  • Communicating and engaging with clients to better understand their needs;
  • Engaging with sub-contractors to ensure work orders completed are to standard
  • Liaising with sub-contractors to ensure required documentation is submitted with accuracy
  • Handling administrative requests and queries from senior management
  • Achieving/working towards client targets

About You

We are looking for an organised and capable leader with:

  • A good understanding of the trade maintenance product knowledge
  • A strong commitment to safety;
  • Frontline leadership capability including task assignment, problem solving and performance management;
  • Ability to prioritise conflicting tasks;
  • Experience working with database management systems
  • Familiarity with preparing reports, database entry and documentation
  • Demonstrated reliability and a positive attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with sound organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively engage team members, establishing and sustaining relationships, setting clear direction and providing coaching
  • Strong customer relationship management skills;
  • A maintenance/Trade background is desirable

This full-time position comes with a remuneration package that includes a base salary of $65K-$70k based on experience, plus superannuation, annual leave loading and the benefits of not-for-profit salary packaging. The position is located in our Perth CBD Office.
