North Metropolitan TAFE is the established State Government provider of vocational education and training for the northern Perth region.

North Metropolitan TAFE has ten campuses located in the city and across the northern suburbs in Balga, Clarkson, East Perth, Joondalup (Kendrew, McLarty), Leederville, Midland, Mt Lawley, Nedlands and Perth (Northbridge).

With approximately 1300 staff and over 400 courses, North Metropolitan TAFE delivers high quality training across 48 industry areas including Agriculture, Animals, Science and the Environment, Automotive, Building and Construction, Business and Finance, Creative Industries, Education and Community Services, Engineering and Mining, English, Languages and Foundation Studies, Health, Beauty and Fitness, Hospitality, Tourism and Events, Information Technology, Library and Digital.

About the role
The Portfolio Director role is primarily responsible for leading the delivery of high quality, publicly funded and commercial training to ensure all key performance indicators (financial, human resources, commercial and academic) are achieved in line with College strategic direction

The role performs a vital role in the success of change management initiatives at North Metro TAFE and will provide a responsive lead to the needs of enterprises, industry and government.

The temporary vacancy for Portfolio Director is in the Licensed Trades and Engineering Learning Portfolio provides learning delivery to students in the following disciplines:

  • Electronic Servicing
  • Electrical Trades
  • Instrumentation
  • Plumbing/Roof Plumbing
  • Security Operation
