Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week

Role Purpose/Context:
The Voice Liaison Officer is responsible for the coordination and provision of a range of effective, efficient and timely voice services and administration functions to support departmental objectives with telecommunications technologies by:

  • Providing a range of high quality support services that are effective, timely and accurate to staff in relation to the use of Skype for Business Enterprise Voice and the resolution of associated problems or issues.
  • Providing a customer focused Service Desk function to ensure all types of customer contacts are captured, analysed and resolved in a timely and efficient manner which contributes to quality telecommunication services that meet the needs of departmental staff.
  • Acting as the key liaison point between customers, Information and Procurement Services staff and service providers to coordinate, prioritise develop and test corrective actions and solutions.
  • Providing effective support in using the Skype for Business application as part of the department’s telecommunications technology platform, including undertaking effective liaison with suppliers and technology partners.
  • Coordinating and undertaking a range of administrative functions that support the Skype for Business Enterprise Voice service, including adds and deletions, purchase of handsets and other equipment, training and communications, preparing activity and performance reports, as well as interpreting and advising on standards, practices and procedures.
  • Develop, coordinate and provide internal training to individuals or groups of staff in the use of the department’s telecommunication technology hardware and software.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Skype for Business Enterprise Voice and the associated Office suite of products.
  • Knowledge of modern Service Desk and Desktop support procedures, practices and techniques and processes associated with providing support to customers in an IT and telecommunications environment
  • Demonstrated experience developing and providing internal training to individuals or groups of staff in the use of the department’s telecommunication technology hardware and software and developing reference materials for the use of standard applications, hardware and peripherals.
  • Experience in coordinating or undertaking a range of administrative functions that support ICT voice services including purchasing handsets and other equipment in compliance with agency and Government policy, preparing activity and performance reports and interpreting and advising on standards, practices and procedures.

Essential/Desirable Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology are desirable

Special Conditions:

  • This is a contract / term vacancy up to 30/6/2019
  • Compliance with Government legislation, Code of Ethics for the SA Public Sector, DSD policies and procedures, including ethical / accountable resources and information management, WHS and injury management, risk management, and the access / equity /diversity strategies of the public sector.
  • Engagement in this role may be subject to a satisfactory Department for Communities and Social Inclusion Criminal History Check or National Police Check. A renewal will be required every 3 years.
  • Out of hours work may be required.
  • Intra state and interstate travel may be required.
  • The incumbent will be required to maintain a safe working environment by adopting appropriate hazard management practices consistent with the role.
