Facilities Planner

The Town of Port Hedland is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Facilities Planner to join our Facilities team. Reporting to Manager Facilities, the successful applicant will be responsible for developing strategic documents and policies that support the growth of active, connected and inclusive communities within the Town through the planning of recreation, open space and sport facility projects.

The position will be based in Port Hedland, a town of rich heritage, spectacular landscapes, friendliness, a diverse and embracing community and relaxed lifestyle. As the largest bulk export port in the world, the town is home to global resource leaders and is signi´Čücant to the national interest.

Our vision is ambitious, forward focussed and exciting and we are seeking applications from candidates genuinely interested in tackling the challenges unique to the region and who want to be a part of a team that is making real change in the Pilbara.

We are seeking an experienced professional with a degree qualification in a relevant discipline, who is passionate about developing the sport and recreation landscape of the Town through strong strategic planning, stakeholder engagement and delivering integral projects to the community. The preferred applicant should have strong knowledge of the sport and recreation industry, along with the ability to develop long-term facility developments, business and strategic plans.

The successful candidate will receive a pro rata salary of $103,443.60 per annum. The remuneration package also includes six weeks annual leave plus 17.5% leave loading (pro-rata based), wellness program which includes discounted gym membership and pool passes, superannuation co-contribution scheme, training and professional development opportunities, family oriented and lifestyle supportive working conditions.
