Team Leader Planning & Asset Management

Want to be involved in shaping your City? Here at the Council we know our strength comes from our people, working together as one team to create results. When you join us, you're getting involved first hand, and contributing to crafting the Christchurch of tomorrow. We're diverse and dynamic - there's always new and interesting projects to get stuck into, and we love creating opportunities for our people to get involved in it all.

The Facilities, Property & Planning Unit at the Council is responsible for ensuring that our city's land and buildings portfolio is effectively maintained, and projects are successfully delivered to agreed standards.  We are looking for a Team Leader Planning & Asset Management to lead and provide technical and managerial support to our dedicated team of asset planners.

You will have strong customer service and stakeholder relationship skills to drive collaborative, customer-centred planning within your team and across the Council.  Your previous experience in operational leadership roles will help ensure you provide pragmatic, expert advice to achieve sustainable, cost effective outcomes.  A skilled people manager, you will use your skills and understanding to help develop a positive, performance driven culture.  Utilising your significant years of asset management and facilities planning industry experience you will ensure that Council's facilities continue to assist strengthening communities and making Christchurch a liveable city.

You may come from a background in facilities or perhaps you are a consultant looking for long term tenure and work-life balance - whatever your background, it goes without saying that you will have a strong customer-centric approach and will enjoy working within an inclusive and collaborative culture.

In return for your leadership and technical experience as well as your motivation to make things happen, we offer you the opportunity to get first-hand experience helping to shape the city's future!

Get involved in it all. Get in touch.
