Salary and Conditions

  • Permanent Full Time Position
  • Salary range $68,602 - $77,211 per annum
  • 9.5% Superannuation
  • 35 Hour Week, with flex time system

  • A leaseback vehicle is available with this position however; this is not a condition of employment.


About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated professional to be a key member of the Works Team. The primary purpose of this role is to provide engineering surveying expertise and support for civil construction and maintenance. This includes all aspects of civil work including road and drainage matters, capital works and maintenance programs with input into the processes of these programs. The role will take ownership and provide leadership on surveying and utility service locations.


Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Formal qualifications in surveying or a related field.
  • Experience in the control of levels and providing surveying expertise on civil construction projects.
  • Experience in the design survey and set-out of civil construction & maintenance projects.
  • Extensive experience in the use of surveying equipment.
  • Proven competency in Microsoft Office applications and computer aided design programs.
  • Commitment to quality outcomes.
  • Ability to work within and positively contribute to a team.
  • Ability to prioritise, plan, program and deliver numerous concurrent jobs.
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • The ability and commitment to Council’s Vision to build a resilient, safe and supported workplace that provides respectful, efficient and effective services for our community now and into the future.
  • The ability and commitment to display Council’s Corporate Values of Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect and Embrace Innovation.

Desirable

  • Previous Local Government surveying experience.
  • Implement Traffic Control Plan.
  • Qualifications/Accreditation or Experience in the location of utility services.
  • Experience and knowledge of 12D software.
