Salary and Benefits:  Remuneration Package $127,325 - $150,887 (including salary $98,032 - $119,179)

Primary Objective

Develop and implement asset management plans, including maintenance and replacement programs with supporting business cases, for power transmission and distribution assets across the Northern Territory and determine the root cause of equipment failures to optimise asset performance, risks and maintenance expenditure.


Key Responsibilities

1.      Defining the maintenance requirements for network assets based on asset condition and reliability analysis.

2.      Develop, implement and monitor appropriate maintenance policies, procedures and plans to work effectively with the Asset Management System (AMS).

3.      Investigate and report on asset failures including the identification of root causes and corrective actions.

4.      Assist Manager Network Assets in developing, managing and reporting on the maintenance and refurbishment programs and budgets.

5.      Carry out duties in accordance with Power and Water's safety, environmental and quality policy, safety principles, corporate values and strategies.


Selection criteria – Essential

1.      Engineering degree recognised for Professional Membership with Engineer Australia.

2.      The ability to interact effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.

3.      Highly developed problem solving and analysis skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g. macros) or other database tools.

4.      Demonstrated experience of the principles and practices associated with maintaining transmission and distribution assets.

5.      Sound working knowledge of maintenance, and financial management systems.


Selection criteria – Desirable

1.      Qualifications in Management and demonstrated experience in management and Leadership.

2.      Experience in analysis of power network reliability working knowledge and/or training of the ISO55000 suite of Asset Management standards.
